Iff one is pretending to breed one, or maby more, litters, it's an option to register a kennelprefix at the Kennelclub. Such a name can refer to your own dog, your own name, your envoirment etc. And so we start thinking about a name we want to give our dogs.

We've chosen a name refering the envoirment we lived in at that time, just a few miles from "The Kapelberg".

At that time we were living in the north-west part off  Roosendaal, close to an industrial area in progress, which now is called "Borchwerf". In that area,  where we were walking our dogs daily, was a nice chapel on a little hill, "The Kapelberg".
The story tells that in the year 1421 aChr. during the St Elisabeths-flood, a sailor in distress prayed till Maria and in gratitude for his saving, he plased a chapel on the place he cast ashore.

The chapel which is now on this place is not the original one from 1421. In the year 1897 is build on this place of pilgrimage a chapel like we still can visit today.

However the "Kapelberg" totally is inclosed by industry, the chapel still is a place visited by many pilgrims and is a place which radiate peace and quietness.

This small piece off history is for us so special that we wanted to show it in all our future-dogs. A peace of Brabantine-history in a Frisian dog.
